DIRECTOR OF CONSTRUCTION - EASTCOAST
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Director of Construction with a proven track record of success to lead our construction operations on the East Coast. The Director of Construction will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, schedule, and budgetary requirements. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills, as well as extensive experience in construction management and a deep understanding of the East Coast construction market.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic direction and leadership for all construction projects on the East Coast.

Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.

Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Manage project risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.

Mentor and coach construction management staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance construction processes and methodologies.

Collaborate with other departments, including design, engineering, and procurement, to optimize project outcomes.

Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on project status, performance, and financial metrics.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of success in overseeing large-scale projects on the East Coast.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques.

Familiarity with construction management software and tools.

Ability to travel as needed to project sites and client meetings.
